A Wonderful Spring of Celebrations at Barton Lodge

Residents and staff at Barton Lodge  have enjoyed a wonderful start to the year, filled with celebrations, music, and special moments together.

In February, the home was full of love and creativity as everyone came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Each unit enjoyed delicious cake and chocolate-coated strawberries, while residents took part in a variety of Valentine’s crafts, creating decorations and sharing a joyful afternoon with friends and staff.

The celebrations continued on 1st March  as residents marked St David’s Day. The day was a lovely opportunity to recognise Welsh culture and traditions, bringing everyone together to enjoy the spirit of the occasion.

Music filled the home on 4th March when a local church choir visited Barton Lodge. Their beautiful singing created a warm and uplifting atmosphere, with many residents enjoying the familiar hymns and the chance to share in such a special performance.

March has also brought an exciting new partnership with students from Barnfield College. We are extremely fortunate to welcome these talented students into the home, where they have been providing relaxing pamper sessions for residents. These sessions include hand massages, cuticle care, manicures, nail painting, and calming relaxation time. Residents have thoroughly enjoyed being pampered and spending time chatting with the students.

It has been a truly lovely few weeks at Barton Lodge, and we look forward to many more activities, visits, and celebrations in the months ahead!
