Woodside celebrated International Nurses Day, paying tribute to the dedication and compassion of its nursing staff.
The event featured heartfelt speeches from residents and their families, expressing gratitude for the unwavering care provided by the nurses. Staff members were presented with personalised thank-you cards and tokens of appreciation, acknowledging their vital role in the community.
Mihaela Sultan, the Registered Manager of Woodside, remarked, “Our nurses are the cornerstone of our care home. Their commitment ensures our residents feel safe, valued, and loved every day.”
Woodside offers accommodation and care for up to 37 people in two acres of private grounds, providing nursing, residential, and dementia care. The home is situated in the quiet village of Slip End, offering delightful views over the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire landscape.
International Nurses Day is celebrated worldwide on May 12, commemorating the birth of Florence Nightingale and recognising the invaluable contributions of nurses globally.
