Barton Lodge Achieves "Good" Rating Following CQC Reinspection

We are proud to announce that Barton Lodge Care Home, part of the DMP Healthcare family, has been rated “Good” overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following a recent reinspection.

The CQC carried out a nine-day inspection earlier this year, and their latest report confirms that Barton Lodge has made significant improvements across all key areas of care. The home, located on Birdsfoot Lane in Luton, had previously been under enhanced monitoring due to concerns identified in 2023. Following a period of focused development, the service has now been recognised for delivering safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led care.

Key improvements highlighted in the report include:

• Safe and person-centred care planning tailored to residents’ individual needs
• Effective systems for risk assessment and quality monitoring
• Enhanced staff training and safe recruitment practices
• Robust safeguarding measures and safe medicines management

Inspectors noted that residents feel safe, respected, and well supported. One resident shared, “This is a lovely place and lovely people who are looking after us—I have no complaints.”
