Bluebell Nursing & Residential Home Achieves 5-Star Rating in Latest ADASS EAST Assessment!

Bluebell is pleased to announce it has achieved an overall rating of 5 out of 5 stars, rated Excellent, following its latest ADASS EAST Accommodation Services (OP) v23.2 assessment, completed on 26 November 2025.

The assessment highlights the home’s strong commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care for adults over 65, including those living with dementia and sensory impairments. Inspectors recognised Bluebell Nursing & Residential Home as a well-led service with robust staffing arrangements and effective management systems in place.

The service performed particularly strongly in the areas of staffing and leadership. Suitability of staffing and quality of management were both rated as Excellent, reflecting the professionalism, dedication, and consistency of the staff team, as well as strong leadership and governance within the home.

All other assessed domains received Good ratings, including involvement and information, personalised care and support, and safeguarding and safety. These results demonstrate a balanced and reliable approach to care, ensuring residents are supported, informed, and protected.

At standards level, the assessment identified excellent practice in staff recruitment and record keeping, confirming that robust systems are in place to ensure safe recruitment processes and accurate, well-maintained documentation. Good ratings were awarded across a wide range of additional standards, including respecting and involving people who use the service, consent, care and welfare, safeguarding, cleanliness and infection control, medicines management, staffing, staff support, and quality monitoring.
